Before you even have a chance to message someone, let alone ask for a date, you have to make a choice. What kind of meeting do you want? Are you looking for something casual, or do you want to sign up for something more committed? Do you want to know a little bit about the person or do you want to meet in person?

Whatever the answer, you have to decide what kind of conversation you want to have with this person. After you’ve decided what you want to talk about, you should decide how you want to spend time with the other person. Whether you are going to hang out, meet them for coffee, or have a romantic dinner, you should plan out how you are going to spend time with the person.

This is part two of a three-part series on date etiquette. To learn more about the etiquette of asking someone out, check out our Date Etiquette: Meeting Someone in Person article.

Don’t Be a Jerk

No matter how confident you may be, “dating is about as exciting as a root canal.” Odds are, if you’re on any site for online dating, you’ve already had the experience of hanging out with someone you met online. Chances are, your conversation was dull, and you wanted to change the subject every time you saw the person.

If you’ve been on some dating sites for awhile, you may have also met someone who was horrible to you, or you may have had your own run-in with a jerk. If you meet someone new that is an inappropriate or unprofessional date, you should end the date right then and there. If you find that you can’t shut him/her out, you might want to consider shutting yourself out.

If you see someone inappropriate, use the mute feature in your profile so that you don’t have to hear their opinion, and don’t give them any of your personal information, such as your email address or phone number. If you have a chance to meet someone in person, it’s best to leave that person immediately.

If you suspect that the date is going to be bad, don’t worry. There’s something called the ” http://www.alexagency.com/adult_dating_in_belarus_-_meet_naughty_minsk_girls_online.html
1. Get To Know The Good Girl (AKA, The List)

If you’re in your 20s, chances are you’ve already met the one who turns you on. But you don’t want to get too close, because there are some kinkier things on the list you don’t want to bring up just yet.

You’re not a total creep, you just have stuff on the list of things you don’t want to talk about, like ‘animal encounters.’ These are things you will never do, and if you bring them up in a conversation, you’ll instantly be considered a creep. Don’t say it, just leave it alone.

If you’re worried about not passing the appropriate list-test, start with an easy one:

When you’re first out of the house, don’t wear underwear or sports bras. This is a personal thing, so if you’re interested in something more permanent, you can always save that for later.

When you’re at the gym, wear tight spandex and/or a sports bra, because when you leave the gym, the rest of your body tends to hang out.

When you’re getting your nails done, ask your manicurist to cut off the tips of your fingers. This is a personal thing, so if you’re interested in something more permanent, you can always save that for later.

When you work out, wear a sports bra, or something super-tight.

If you work outside your home, try to keep your hair shorter, and limit the amount of makeup and perfume you wear.

If you’re trying to lose weight, try not to eat anything, but if you have to, do it in a public bathroom.

When you’re going out with a group of friends, go ahead and let your hair down, wear make-up, wear a sports bra, etc.

When you’re out with friends, stay away from anything that’s gonna be weird, like tattoos. You don’t need weird friends.

These are just a few examples of things you can stop doing, just for the time being. If you’re willing to show up in a lacy, sports bra, and you have a fairly big list, you’re definitely ready to move on.

You should also establish rules that will apply if you happen to meet your future significant other at a party or a club. The more specific the rules, the better. For example
